Right Sharing of World Resources

Right Sharing of World Resources is a program of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) supporting grassroots projects for economic development and offering educational materials for the study of the lives of the poor, the lives of the rich, and the spiritual meaning of both.

Proposal Guidelines—What does RSWR look for in a project?

A) A clearly defined proposal from an NGO for an income-generating activity, which will improve the quality of life for project participants, must include the following information: (1) duration of project, (2) number of participants, and, (3) for each participant, anticipated income, expenses and savings, and (4) plan for repayment of loans to the participants.

B ) The ability to receive and use money as intended (responsible treasurer, bank account, annual audits).

C) Project participants who have a voice in the decisions of the group.

D) An NGO that works, or has attempted to work, with the government and other voluntary agencies serving the project's area.

E) Equal treatment of men and women.
