Restoring Earth Connection

After over 16 years doing climate work, founding 350Seattle.org, cofounding Faith Action Climate Team (of Seattle), Lynn Fitz-Hugh took a new direction. In founding Restoring Earth Connection she chose to work on paradigm shift – and rebuilding our relationship to Earth, as the fundamental change we must make to address climate change. She sees undoing colonialism as a central part of the work of reconnecting to Earth.
Restoring Earth Connection is aiming for paradigm change because real change cannot happen without a paradigm shift. We have grown up in a societal paradigm of capitalism, colonialism, and patriarchy that teaches domination over Earth and has gotten us into a big mess. There is another paradigm, both new and ancient, that recognizes that we are part of a living Earth and in interdependent, reciprocal relationship with her. As an organization, Restoring Earth Connection is working on issues of climate change, species extinction, social justice and environmental destruction.
